Vermont Wind Ensemble

This afternoon, we got a real treat! Jason, myself and the boys went to UVM to see Jack play clarinet in a recital concert with the Vermont Winds Ensemble. It was fantastic! Here is a picture Jason took with his camera phone... Jack is in the center, but you can't see him in this shot.

The boys had never been to anything like this and they kind of just took it all in. Nick leaned over at one point and whispered, "This sounds like the music on Emergency! when something bad is about to happen!" I laughed. They don't even realize that the music on most shows and Disney movies is all full orchestral music! My boys need to know that there is life beyond computer screens and video games! They need some culture in their lives....

Great job today, Jack! We all had a marvelous time!
