Christmas traditions... the stuff memories are made of.

I love the Christmas tree farm in our town. It brings back such great memories of my childhood days when MY family went and "tagged" a tree at a tree farm in Maine. We are passing that tradition down to our own children... they couldn't wait for this day! Here are some pictures from the "2008 Christmas Tree" experience!

Trees, trees, everywhere!

Nick proudly points out the winner!

Dad does the honors...

Adam, working on his manly skills, uses the saw to cut off bottom branches.

Adam and Nick carry the tree to the truck.

More manly skills... I would have no clue how to attach the tree to the roof of the truck... that's what guys are for! LOL!

This is a favorite part of the tradition... the hot chocolate with candy cane!

Adam is totally into the Christmas spirit!

Adam putting the ornaments on "just so"...

Nick putting ornaments on....

Voila! A beautiful tree! Thanks for sharing in our special day!

What a beautiful tree!
I can't wait to put up ours.

We were @ KMart last night and found a book called "Jesus, Me, My
Christmas Tree."

It tells the Christmas story through the ornaments that a little girl puts on the Christmas tree. It's really cute. We are going to read it tonight when we are putting up our tree. :)

God bless you and your family! I hope that you have a really great Christmas.

I love sharing your memories through your blog. I'm also happy to hear how special your childhood family traditions are to you and how you are now making your own similar traditions...selecting a Christmas tree, purple mashed potatoes!!! I cherish these really great times we had during your early years! The photo of Adam decorating the tree would make a great Christmas card for the Ziter household. Tell Nick to show his smiling face for the camera as well. It's too cute to miss! The tree is just beautiful. I can't wait to see you and share Chritmas with you and our VT family. Love you. MOM
